The INTERACTIVE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR is responsible for supporting all facets of the Business Development process. This includes assisting with the creation of proposals and responding to RFPs and RFIs, assisting with the creation of statements of work, and assisting with the creation of internal and client presentations. This person must be able to interface with clients and inter-agency personnel on all levels. This position reports directly to the President.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies new business opportunities and develops strategies to obtain new business.
- Evaluates the agency’s Interactive services and recommends areas where improvement is needed. Develops plans for achieving that improvement
- Evaluates creative and technology partner needs.
- Stays abreast of new developments in technology and Interactive Marketing to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of Interactive communications.
- Develops client Interactive marketing plans.
- Guides the development of Interactive creative strategies; plans, assigns and directs the development for Interactive projects.
- Presents creative work to Internal and Client Groups, and advises the client on new interactive opportunities.
- Guides the direction/vision for continued team growth; maximizes the productivity of Interactive creative staff.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5-7 years of client management and business development experience (at a traditional, interactive, or direct marketing agency a plus).
- College degree required, MBA a plus.
- 5+ year demonstrated track record of developing senior level client relationships.
- Proven experience in managing teams and in working cross functionally across an organization.
- Strong knowledge of interactive media and creative design.
- Retail marketing expertise a plus, but not required.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Outstanding marketing expertise with particular emphasis on interactive media, but strong working knowledge of traditional marketing and advertising also a plus.
