Great Blog Posting...Great Response

Posted by Kenny Tomlin on Monday, August 25, 2008 in Rockfish Work

We had the cool privilege of working with Tyson Foods in launching their blog dedicated to hunger relief (hungerrelief.tyson.com). Today Tyson posted an entry titled Hunger in Austin--Something you can do to help. In addition to bringing awareness to the issue of hunger and poverty in Texas, Tyson Foods took their posting a step further by engaging their community to make a difference. For every comment posted on their blog, Tyson offered to donate 100 pounds of food (up to a 35K pound truckload). The response was overwhelming. As of the timing of this post, Tyson has received over 500 comments in less than 24 hours! Great job Tyson using social media to bring awareness to an important issue and then engaging your community in a positive response.

Abbott and Rockfish Interactive Announce New Similac Baby Formula and Packaging Design

Posted by Mallory Smith on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in Rockfish Work

Fighting with a formula can is a hassle, claim the makers of Similac baby formula, Abbott Laboratories. So after listening to moms about their biggest concerns surrounding baby feeding, Abbott announced the release of the most innovative formula packaging ever released. To reveal their new innovations, Abbott worked with Rockfish Interactive to design the promotional microsite for the innovative baby formula packaging design, Similac SimplePac, and the new baby formula, Similac Advance Early Shield.

In addition to the microsite, a splash page was created for the Walmart.com site that indicated something new was coming from the makers of Similac Baby Formula.

The dual-purpose promotional site includes a 3-D rendering of the improved packaging design, which allows site visitors to see the container from all angles. The helpful new packaging features are also highlighted in the Flash Website, including a one-hand grip, a scoop in the lid, rounded corners and a flip top. All the packaging design changes were a result of Abbott Laboratories’ work to find out what changes would benefit mothers of newborn children.

On the Walmart.com exclusive microsite, visitors can get a sneak peak of the new Similac packaging design and formula before they are able to find it on Walmart shelves across the nation.

Rockfish Interactive Launches Site for CHPA

Posted by Mallory Smith on Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Rockfish Work

The Consumer Healthcare Products Association, founded in 1881 is an association made up of leading over-the-counter drug manufacturers, and is committed to promoting nutritional supplements and medicines while educating its partners on the safe and responsible use of OTC medicines. CHPA also provides guidance and leadership on the regulatory and scientific issues of OTC medicines to government entities.

CHPA teamed with Rockfish Interactive to produce CHPA-info.org. The site is a complete educational resource, featuring press releases, FAQ sections and surveys for consumers, as well as resources for CHPA members like executive newsletter archives and meeting calendars. There is even a section of the site devoted to informing the public on government regulations for children’s medicines, dietary supplements and cough medicine.

Rockfish designed and developed this new site, which features a password protected area where CHPA members can access information, and a complete press room that contains all media materials for hot issues surrounding health products. This includes, press kits, news releases and up-to-date statistics. The site's built in content management system manages the completely dynamic navigation menus and it automatically updates the site map when new information is added. A universal site search box on the site as well as tabbed browsing make for easy navigation of the new www.chpa-info.org.
